Slider not working

Hi,
First off great theme!!!

Hoping someone can help me!!!
Im having trouble getting the slider region to work..well basically it doesnt. Im kinda familiar with Drupal and have tried placing a static image block in the region as well as creating a views image slider and setting it in the region, but so far nothing appears there.(although there is no slider option under image format)

Just to check is the jquery cycle plugin already downloaded with the theme, or does it have to be put it and called? My website will look class if I can just figure out how to get the slider going(as in the case of Drupal its often something stupid Im missing!!)

Any ideas...ive treid setting view permission...no joy,
