How was this accomplished? Fields "Used In"

I was having problems having the images on the Story page to show up on the frontpage. Then I looked at the Administer > Content > Content Types and clicked on "Fields" link...and to my surprise I saw the field_image and field_introtex listed with a column with "Used In" Page, Showcase, Story.

I exported this into my new site and everything seem to be magically working. I know this might come across dumb but can anyone tell me how this was done?

Did you installed our fullsite package? In our fullsite pack, I created sample contents like the demo. It mean, I created field_image, field_introtext, blocks, views, image cache.... Don't worry about it.
