Drupal Core

Drupal is suggesting that I upgrade the drupal core from 7.5 to 7.10. How can I be sure that updating the Drupal Core will not be incompatible with my theme? Is this theme specific?

You can update Drupal to version 7.10, but you should have a backup database.
